Yet, her crowning achievement is the Imagination Library. Founded in 1995 in honor of her father, who could not read, this nonprofit has mailed over 330 million free books to children worldwide. Operating in five countries, it ensures that millions of children, regardless of their background, can build their own libraries and develop a love for reading. It is a fitting tribute to a woman who saw a need and filled it, ensuring her legacy of education and kindness will live on for generations.
