E&J “SHOW THE WORLD” Commercial

A few weeks ago I was tapped to help with "a short video" (as it was stated to me). Fast forward a few short days and it's being shown during the TBT basketball tournaments on ESPN.

This all happened so very quickly. I was asked to join in on a Thursday… met with the director and editor on a Sunday, and was shooting on the following Wednesday. Not to mention this was smack dab in the busiest month to date that Onetime has ever seen in it’s 6years of inception. There were SO many moving parts, so much so that I think some details went a bit untapped. Going through the whole process, though, it really opened to eyes to what was important in the grand scheme of the artform: the faux behind the scenes of commercials, the importance of moments in regard to photography, the angles and lighting of film, and the movement of cinematography. There was so much to absorb in such a short amount of time, but I got it. I was a bit tired, but I did my part and I think they were able to get some really good shots.

Special thanks to Moosylvania, Fathom Productions, National Urban League, and E&J brandy (VSOP) for setting it up and putting it together; as well as DNA for their involvement as well. The spot came out great and it’s amazing to know that the commercial was playing all over the east coast even after it’s debut on ESPN. I had a lot of fun working on this.
